Emerging Leaders is a one-year cohort that provides competency-based professional learning for district leaders, building administrators, instructional coaches and teacher leaders – equipping them with the skills to drive system-wide student-centered transformation.

What is the commitment for participants?
The Emerging Leaders cohort runs August 2026 – July 2027 and would involve the following commitment:
- Monthly two-hour virtual collaborations
- Monthly one-hour small group leadership coaching
- Periodic asynchronous exploration and reflection (pre-work / follow up)
- Develop and pursue a personalized learning plan based on self-identified areas of growth on Portrait of a Leader competencies
- Two-day in-person convening including a half-day leadership learning lab. Location and date will be communicated as soon as possible.
What are the monthly dates for the Zoom meetings? What time will these calls take place?
Monthly meeting dates will be scheduled based on feedback from participants. A scheduling poll is being shared with all confirmed participants so these can be scheduled as soon as possible.
What is involved with the monthly work on Zoom? Is there work in between sessions?
The cohort will meet for two hours virtually via Zoom every month and will include a mixture of full group and small group facilitation. There will be some brief pre-work or homework in between sessions, such as responding to a discussion post, taking a self-assessment, exploring resources or moving forward steps in your personalized learning plan.
